| Delightful Designs knows that planning a wedding can be stressful. We've accumulated a few rules of etiquette hoping it will make choosing your handcrafted wedding invitation a smooth process. When should I order my Invitations? Invitation Ensembles should be ordered at least three months prior to the event. We can process orders received later than this, but keep in mind that all of our Wedding Invitations are hand crafted to order and it will take at least two weeks to complete your order. When should I order a Reception Card? Only when you have the reception at a location different from the ceremony. If your reception is at the same place, or close by, you may want to add the following alternative lines on your invitation: Reception immediate following, or Reception immediately following in the Ball Room How do I word my invitation if our ceremony is at 2:30? You may choose from the more formal “half past two o’ clock in the afternoon”, or the less formal “two-thirty in the afternoon”. Should I include gift registry cards with my invitation? No. It is not proper to include any reference to gifts you expect to receive. Your friends and family should spread the word where you are registered. How do we determine the respond by date? You should coordinate this with your Wedding Coordinator, or if you are not using one, the facility where you are having your reception. They will let you know when they require a count of how many guests will be attending. Traditionally, this date is two weeks before the ceremony. You will, however, most likely receive last minute responses. Do not hesitate to call those who do not respond in a timely manner. How do we handle sending Thank You cards for those who have given several gifts (multiple showers)? Each gift requires it’s own Thank You card. If you use preprinted cards, you should follow up with a hand written note to the gift giver. All shower thank you cards should be sent no later than two months after the wedding. |
